Today, our childcare center is closed as we observe a holy day dedicated to rest, reflection, gratitude, and drawing closer to God.
While this means our classrooms are quiet today, our hope is that homes throughout our community will be filled with something even more precious: meaningful time between parents and their children.
In the busyness of everyday life, it is easy for schedules, work, appointments, and responsibilities to consume our attention. Before long, days become weeks, and weeks become months. Yet one thing remains true: our children are only young once.
The greatest gift we can give them is not another toy or another activity—it is our presence.
Today is a beautiful opportunity to slow down and enjoy one another.
Read a favorite story together.
Take a walk through the neighborhood or a nearby park.
Cook a meal as a family.
Turn off the television and put away the phones for a while.
Play a board game.
Pray together.
Talk, laugh, and listen.
These simple moments often become the memories our children treasure for the rest of their lives.
As educators, we are honored to care for your children throughout the week, but we also believe that parents are a child’s first and most influential teachers. The love, encouragement, wisdom, and example children receive at home shape their hearts in ways that no classroom ever can.
Our prayer today is that every family experiences peace, joy, and meaningful togetherness.
Whether your family spends the day resting, enjoying nature, sharing a meal, reading together, or simply appreciating one another’s company, we hope this day serves as a reminder that the most valuable investments we make are not measured in dollars or accomplishments, but in the relationships God has entrusted to us.
Thank you for allowing us to partner with you in nurturing your children’s growth, learning, and character. We are grateful for the trust you place in us, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back soon.
Why Are We Closed Today?
Some parents have asked why our childcare center observes this day each year.
Our decision is rooted in our ministry’s sincere desire to honor God through humility, rest, and obedience to His Word. We recognize that families come from a variety of faith backgrounds, and we respect those differences. Our intention is not to impose our convictions on others but to remain faithful to the values that guide our ministry while continuing to serve every child with love, excellence, and respect.
