Our Week in Early Learning: Building Connection and Growth

As our classrooms continue to settle into a new season, Spreading Childcare remains focused on creating an environment where connection and growth in early learning thrive every day. Through structure, warmth, and play, children learn to express themselves, build friendships, and grow both socially and academically.

In every age group, we aim to nurture a sense of belonging as well as curiosity. Because when children feel connected and supported, their love for learning grows naturally.

Infant Room: Where Care and Connection Begin

The Infant Room continues to be a calm, nurturing space where our youngest learners begin their journey of growth and connection in childcare. Each caregiver responds to every child’s needs for comfort, play, and rest—helping infants feel secure and valued.

In addition, daily routines include sensory play, music, and movement. These gentle moments encourage early communication and strengthen brain development. As a result, infants begin forming the trust and confidence they’ll carry into every future stage.

Pre-K3: Exploring Play, Empathy, and Growth in Early Learning

Meanwhile, in our Pre-K3 classrooms, children are learning through purposeful play. Using Creative Curriculum and HighScope methods, teachers guide students in exploring stories, art, and problem-solving. Through small group time and centers, children practice empathy, cooperation, and curiosity—key elements that support connection and growth in early learning.

Because learning is deeply connected to emotion, each interaction strengthens both academic and social growth. Beyond letters and numbers, children are learning how to listen, share, and express their ideas confidently. These daily experiences help nurture meaningful relationships and development in early learning, creating a foundation for success in Pre-K4 and beyond.

GSRP: Preparing for Kindergarten Through Connection and Confidence

Our Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) continues to prepare children for kindergarten success. By using the GOLD Assessment, teachers track development in literacy, math, and social-emotional growth.

During small group lessons, students plan, learn, and reflect—helping them build independence as well as focus. At the same time, every activity reinforces teamwork and problem-solving. Each of our classrooms reflects the spirit of connection and growth in early learning, encouraging curiosity, independence, and joy in every age group. In this way, our program encourages learning and growth in childcare while building readiness for the next step.

After-School Care: Learning, Support, and Belonging

Beyond the preschool day, our After-School Program provides continuity, care, and academic support. Students participate in homework help, tutoring, and creative projects that make learning meaningful.

In addition, this time helps children strengthen relationships with peers and staff. Because they already feel at home here, they can focus, unwind, and grow. As a result, each afternoon reinforces relationships and development in early learning.
